The Tcount receiver is designed to respond only to
one of four Tcount transmitters, each having a unique code, (or address).
When the incoming signal from the Tcount transmitter does not match the
address set in the receiver the backlight switches on as normal but the
count displayed remains the same as this shows the last count received of
another Tcount transmitter.
To rectify the problem the address must be changed
by pressing the "address button" at switch on then waiting for the
address, (Left digit) to cycle round to the correct address. The address
is now changed and will remain in that state until changed again.
The first thing to do is to find out if the problem
lies with the radio communication or with the Tcount transmitter. If the
reading is erratic but always gives the correct reading then the problem
lies with the radio system. If the reading is incorrect or if the count is
in one direction only then the problem lies with the Tcount transmitter.
To rectify a radio problem make sure the Antenna is
clean and installed in a sensible position, check the antenna cable by
using a Digital Volt Meter to measure voltage and current across the
2 pole connector at the antenna end, this should be approximately 11 volts
and 28 mA respectively.
For incorrect counting or counting in one direction:
Check the orientation of the Tcount transmitter
which should be turned so that the magnet travels in the direction that
you would view the writing on the end cap potting; i.e. from left to right
or from right to left.
