The basic kit is provided to allow the system to be fitted to a customers
sheave block, (pulley wheel that supports the tow cable). The kit consists
of a PC interface, or "dongle", which plugs in to the PC serial port, (this
is provided with a 9 way adapter lead to allow 25 way or 9 way serial ports
to be accommodated). A power supply is provided that plugs in to the connector
of the dongle whilst the other connector plugs in to a remote antenna which
receives the radio signal from the sheave block transmitter supplied,
(bottom left). Software is provided for
Windows 95,98,2000 which displays up to four counters and stores details of
each sheave block's circumference, offset, maximum cable length and
allocated address, (the address is 0 to 3 which can be edited to give
details of the equipment that is being towed on that counter. |
