  • Cable monitoring equipment

    • Tcount, wireless cable counter, now has increased battery life. Previous versions incorporated a sensor/transmitter with standby/operational life of 6 years and 4.5 years respectively, this has now been improved to 10 years and 5.5 years*. The system is now standard equipment on many ships; this means that for the cost of a Tcount TX2 transmitter the contractor can provide a sheave block with counter ready for immediate operation.

    * The lifespan of 5.5 years assumes the counter is used every day for 6000 counts.

Standby assumes the sheave wheel is stationary

  • Replacement for HiTek counter

    • replacement fitting for the HiTek sensor fitted to older sheave blocks. This is basically the TX2 transmitter but housed in the same fitting as the original HiTek unit. Can be fitted quickly using the original two screws resulting in a wireless cable counter to replace the damage prone original.

Klein Sonar and GeoAcoustics have now incorporated Tcount into their software to allow constant layback correction.

    • GeoAcoustics GeoPro ver 8.00 and later can be interfaced with Tcount. This will allow changes in towfish layback to be automatically transmitted to GeoPro and updated in real time
